WEIPA CAMPING GROUND “MINE & TOWN TOURS”
The Weipa Camping ground is also the Weipa Information Centre.
Find out the history behind Weipa, visit Rocky Point, the Regeneration Unit and other points of interest; visit a working mine site and watch the 170 tonne Belly Dumpers being loaded; follow the rail and conveyor belt system as the bauxite makes its way to the loading dock.
Tours depart 8.30am & 2.30pm most days during peek periods.
